Week 1: 4 Predictions for Michigan Minnesota

Week 1. We’re less than a week away from the return of Big Ten Football. College Gameday has announced they will be heading to Minnesota for the weekend, and I couldn’t be more excited. When I heard about the Big Ten returning, I was skeptical, I didn’t know if we would reach this point where it looks achievable to have college football in the age of COVID without an NBA bubble type situation. With that, we’ve almost reached Michigan’s big week 1 matchup under the lights, and I thought it would be fitting to give 4 predictions for the game this Saturday, as well as my outcome prediction. Michigan Football Position Group Rankings for 2020: 5-1

Welcome back! Let’s keep these rankings rolling. For anyone who missed the first rendition of this series, I am ranking each position group for the Michigan Wolverines heading into the 2020 season. In the previous edition, I gave my number 6-10 rankings, which you can find here. Today I will be continuing with the top 5 position groups as of right now in my opinion. Let’s get started!

Michigan Football Position Group Rankings for 2020: 10-6

While the future for sports in 2020 is still unclear, I am confident that the greatest sport on planet Earth in College Football will adapt to the unusual situation and continue with the 2020-2021 season. With a multitude of Wolverines being drafted this past month in the NFL draft (10), it leaves a lot of vacancies in starting positions on the roster. I’ll be ranking each position group against one another as the roster stands right now. I have separated the roster into 10 position groups: quarterback, running backs, wide receivers, tight ends, offensive linemen, defensive linemen, linebackers, cornerbacks, safeties, and special teams. I will not be including incoming freshmen into consideration for these rankings as we have not had the opportunity to see these young players in action at all yet (thanks COVID). Today I’ll be covering rankings 10-6, with 5-1 following in the near future.
